Pint of Science is returning to Kiel!
Pint of Science is a worldwide science festival that brings researchers to local bars to share scientific discoveries with a diverse audience. Every year volunteers organise events in different cities, motivated by their passion for science communication: In fact, lots of great and interesting work is done inside research institutes and we believe it should be shared with the world! The topics presented are from a variety of fields, such as geology, economics, archaeology, and many more.
And the best part? You don’t need to know anything about any of these topics before attending our event! The Kiel team has been organising events since 2020 and has received an enthusiastic response from the public.
This year we organise another event in Kiel on 1st November at Lille Brauerei (entrance from 7pm and start at 7:30pm). On this day our line-up of awesome presentations on three fascinating topics will include:
- “54 Reasons to hide your union membership from your employer” by Patrick Nüß
- “Ancient diets and how we can identify them” by Karolina Varkuleviciute
- “Unearthing the Vedic Saraswati in India” by Mukteshwar Nath Mishra
Our expert speakers will take you on a journey through the latest research and discoveries in these fields, sharing their insights and answering your burning questions.
There is more! We’ve also got a “pub” quiz with exciting prizes, a raffle with amazing giveaways, and plenty of opportunities to meet new people and make new friends over a cold beer.
Whether you’re a science buff, or just looking for a great night out, Pint of Science has something for everyone! Please note that the event will be held in English.
